-He doesn't smile enough. Attitudes are contagious, people! Make sure yours is worth catching.

-He has absolutely no fashion sense. I mean, everybody knows you don't wear white after Labor Day!!!

-He doesn't pay enough attention to his adopted daughter. Maybe they should do one of those fun Daddy-daughter activities, like "Take your Daughter to Work" day...he could let her tag along while he wipes out a few hundred youkai.

Oh yeah, Jaken was dead on there...and you could just *feel* the temperature dropping as he was prattling on in that scene (Poor guy, he always gets hit for saying the obvious!) He was going on about how Sesshoumaru is hunting Naraku down because he's pissed off over the Rin-kidnapping incident...Sesshou's a bit stuck-up, and it really put a kink in his tail having to run around and obey Naraku to save Rin's life.

Note that nobody ever questioned the reason Sesshoumaru played along and ran off to save Rin. Personally, I think the fact that he has Tenseiga, has revived Rin in the past, and yet still tries to keep her from dying really says something about their relationship. I mean, look at Jaken circa the Toukijin eps...he's dead and in two pieces for most of an episode, but Sesshoumaru isn't in any big rush to revive him. Whereas Sesshou dashes off to save Rin from Kohaku right away, trying to keep her from getting axed at all. How sweet ^^

That is soo true... I had that somewere in mind as well, he could have beaten the sh*t out of Naraku and then go save her...

But it also might imply a bug in the series... cause his character could have done that (hunt Naraku instead of saving Rin) but the producers decided to "give Naraku a chance"

Sorry To bring this back up,But I hadn't bothered to make a account when This post was new.As for Negative comments on Seshomaru.

1.He doesn't like his brother at all.If it wasn't for him he wouldn't have a show to be in.Talk about a ingrate.

2.He may be stronger that Inuyasha,But his back up is lacking.Inuyasha has a group to run around with that makes him better. I don't think He could talk all of IY's group.

3.He doesn't appricate anyone giving him any help.If you piss of the people that do help you later on when you need help (And eventually he will need help) You won't be able to get it when you need it.

4.He is to cocky. If you remeber he got into trouble once and Inuyasha saved him. Normaly it wouldn't have been a problem for him but his cockiness got him in trouble.

5. He is a ass to the friend he does have.(poor Jaken)

Well I'm sick of typing So I guess thats enough. I might have to write a book later If I'm bored enough.

you got some major points there about him, and i agree with all
of it, especially with the part about wether he accepts help or not
( we got many examples of that, but if you are refering to the
incident with Kouga, not only he did right for not welcoming Kouga's
help, but he should have ripped his guts out...)

Sesshomaru is pretty cool and all, but he's got some flaws...

For example, what if Sesshomaru was the main character in the show, as opposed to Inuyasha? The show would bomb so fast, it wouldn't even be funny. I mean, seriously, let's see what would happen if the show was titled "Sesshomaru" instead of "Inuyasha":

1) In the show "Sesshomaru", there would be a LOT less dialogue. While Inuyasha can spit out a dozen words per second, Sesshomaru is more likely to say a dozen words per EPISODE. While it makes Sessho seem very cool, it also makes for a potentially slow-moving plot. For example, if Sessho ever declared his love for someone, it better be a short and sweet speech, otherwise his declaration might stretch over 3 or 4 episodes!

2) Speaking of love interests, Sessho doesn't really have anyone in the horizon. So you can forget about any romantic angles. Hell, he barely has any friends, which really cuts down on the potential love interests.

3) And his lack of friends could cause some problems. For example, in most of Inuyasha's promos or endings, while there's some song in the background, you usually see the camera pan over Kagome's and Inuyasha's friends. But if you do that for a promo or ending for "Sesshomaru", the camera would pan over Rin... then Jaken... then maybe Aun... then what, back to Rin? Who else is his friend? Nobody! I guess the camera would then have to start panning over his enemies, which could go on forever, due to the number of people he's alienated in his lifetime.

4) Oh yeah, another problem. "Inuyasha" is interesting because Inuyasha often can't do everything by himself, or always do things his way. But in "Sesshomaru", it would always be Sesshomaru doing everything, and Sesshomaru always doing things his way, while Rin and Jaken stand aside and say over and over: "Sesshomaru-sama rocks! Sesshomaru-sama for life!" Not much room for character development, unless Rin suddenly hits puberty and turns into a rebellious teenage b*tch. Actually, that could get quite interesting. I hope it happens sometime in "Inuyasha".

Anyway, my point is, Sesshomaru is way cool, but his coolness actually hinders him in the sense that he is not dynamic enough to have his own show! Oh well, win some, lose some.

God, I still crack up every time he says that line. His manner of inflection is so totally out-of-character, yet the line itself is a perfectly normal thing for him to say. The way he says it makes it sound like he's trying to use it as a pick-up line or something. "So, should I... kill ya?"

Even better, on the next track with the seiyuu interviews, he and Kappei repeat that line OVER and OVER, putting different weird inflections on it each time ^_^*.

Um, yeah, but back on the original topic of this thread, Sessho really doesn't need his own show. He's one of those characters who'd lose his coolness factor really quick if he was overused. Now, JAKEN, on the other hand.... I'd PAY to see "Sengoku o-Togi Zoushi: Jaken". ^_^

I really hope Movie 3's DVD comes with a parody drama.

I have the distinct feeling that ANY show with Sesshoumaru and Company as the main characters would end up being a parody. Which is really ironic since Sesshoumaru is so damn badass. But for some reason, it just makes it so... yeah... it would lose its cool factor soon.

Realistically speaking... no. I mean, Kouji-kun's description of it was "Sesshoumaru no saigo no tsumetai kotoba...", or "Sesshoumaru's final bitter words." Regardless of the inflection, "korosu zo" just doesn't come across as bitter to me. I mean, it's threatening and all, but not exactly bitter.

Watch the special go something like this:

Onna: "Oooh, sexy!" (latches onto Sessh's leg)
Rin: "Hee hee, funny lady likes Sesshoumaru-sama!"
Sesshoumaru: "......"
Onna: "I want to bear your puppies."
Rin: "Hee hee, Sesshoumaru-sama's gonna be a daddy!"
Sesshoumaru: "...... Rin, avert your eyes."

(Various violent-sounding things are heard offscreen)

Speaking of the special, it seems like they've mucked with the schedule a bit. Regardless, it's apparently playing November 24th, even though that would mean it's episode numbers would be changed to 133-134 (it sounds like the "Miroku's Master's Final Banquet" episode was moved to later). But... I haven't seen a revamped schedule on any official sites, so I don't know 100% yet.
