This is probably a general question about the time of release for anime episodes...but I was in Japan when that earthquake happened in the end of May. Unfortunately, I didn't see episode 114 on Japanese TV, but since it was released here on the 24th, my guess is that the normal time for releasing subtitled anime is a few weeks? I'd be interested in knowing if anyone knows the "normal" release time?

Yes, it takes a while to get an episode out -- Rome wasn't built in a day, and episodes aren't translated in a day either ^_~ Generally we strive for a week to ten days in turn around--that is, the episode is out roughly 7-10 days after it originally airs. However, on occasion we get up to two weeks behind, since real life gets in the way. Rest assured we work as fast as we can given the circumstances.
