Disappointed not to see the FD's races. With 14? eps this stage they just arnt going to be able to cover it, but a some brief discussion or mention of the race against the GTS-T would have been nice. My understanding is that they will feature the yellow FD in a later episode, though?
Its nice to be watching Initial-D again after all this time. The long gaps between episodes are annoying, but 4 are due to be aired soon. The Jap ppv TV schedule goes something like this:
ep. 1&2 - april 17, 04
ep. 3&4 - june 19, 04
ep. 5&6 - aug 21, 04
ep. 7&8 - oct 16, 04 - edited
ep. 9&10 - dec 18, 04
ep. 11&12 - feb 19, 05
ep. 13&14 - april 16
Anyone know what cars are coming up? Bunta looks to be driving either a 22b or an RA (which I think would suit him better). I cant quite tell if the wheel arches are wider or not and I'm no expert on scoobys.

Actually, it's not Sept 16th, but instead October 16th according to the official Initial D website.
Yeah, I'm definitely disappointed we haven't even had a chance to watch Keisuke race. But then again, I'd be happier if they had done his races as well since it'd be more like 26 episodes overall.
I haven't read any of the manga, nor do I know anywhere near enough on cars (unfortunately) to know what cars are coming up. I've avoided doing google searches on it so far since I prefer to "see it as it comes" and not find out ahead of time.

Do you know why are the episodes airing so slowly? It's pretty much one episode per month right now.
It's driving me crazy cause I want to wait for all the episodes to come out so I can watch them all at once or else I forget what happened in the previous episodes. =P

We don't actually know why they decided to go with the 2 eps per 2 months.
One hypothesis is that they're making the episodes as they go, and thus have to spread them out a bit longer than usual due to the cg time.
Another is they're just lazy and want to drag it out a bit longer (and maybe lead into their next ID stage?)

One completely unfounded theorum of mine is that they would like to get DVD's for the start of the series out before its actually finished airing to try to keep its appeal/momentum going for longer.
Maybe its just me, but you forget about so many anime these days within less than a year of them finishing airing - often before official DVD's are released in Japan let alone R1 dvds in the states.

As it stands. They release the DVDs whenever the next pair of episodes air. So when 3/4 came out, 1/2 DVD was released. At least I'm pretty sure about it.

HMM, i can't care too much about the DVDs right now...
I'm so hooked that its just KILLING me to wait for episodes 5 & 6.....
i wana watch it so bad !!
damn, i wished they would do a one episode a week-release for "initial D 5th stage" (if it ever comes out), instead of the 2 episodes per 2 months thing...
Argh........
looks like
i'll just have to go play initial D 3rd stage at the arcades to sweat it off... XD

the car bunta was driving was an impreza. For those of you who don't know, the impreza is the base model for the WRX, and is also what subaru uses for its ralley cars.

well you can get the rest of the stage 4 eps.....up to 10.....at animesuki.com I think they have a link to a torrent for those.....since I got them there.
Oh and as far as I know...Bunta does drive the WRX and not the base model imprezza.......from what I could tell by the body design and what not it was based off the old STI's.......so it is the high end WRX most likely....and with Bunta that would not suprise me to know that is the truth. He can have nothing but something Really fast.

We're still working on it here. We've had some staff crisis as a lot of stuff has piled up and bogged us down.
Fortunately, we should have a couple coming out very shortly and plan to have a faster schedule than in the past to catch back up. =)

Anyone know how many episodes are in this series (Fourth Stage)? I have 20 but it doesn't quite seem complete. If there are more, any ideas on where to get them? Thanks.
