XD Okay, I'm right in the middle of watching the episode as I type this, but something made me laugh so hard that I just HAD to say something...

Spexxy, you'll probably hate me for liking this scene so much but...

MIROKU: Will you bear my child?
SANGO: *all glowy-eyed and spooky looking in t3h background* HOUUuUuUUUSHIIIiI-SAaAaAMmMMMAAaAaaAaaaaAAAAA!!!11

...okay, I'll come back and make a REAL comment about the episode after I finish watching that, but I'm just too giggly to let that pass... XD

...what??? ::has not watched the episode yet::

Oh, man... do I go hunt that scene down right this instant, and risk the Date Auction thread in General Admission growing to 1200 pages in my absence, or do I wait a little longer? Decisions... XD
Kuro
Yesh Spexxie! Must t3h watchness! biggrin.gif

---

And now for my discombobulated and rather unorganized thoughts.

When Sesshoumaru revives Kanta's father. Wow. That was one... of the most... effective uses of music I think I've heard in Inuyasha in a long time. And, forgive t3h bad pun, but I felt all warm and fluffy in the end. tongue.gif

I don't remember feeling a little choked up during any Inuaysha episodes in a while. But kudos go to Nahara for making me want to cry. tongue.gif Maybe if I watch it four or five times, I'll feel it was too melodramatic, but heck, Kanta is a child and I'm sure any less wouldn't have been quite so... well, effective. At least, I thought it was effective.

I felt BAD for Kanta.

All in all... made me want to go hug a pillow. Or something. Or check the AF Date Thread and see who's marrying who and feel all warm and cuddly and stuff. tongue.gif Yep!

Well, I only watched the first two minutes so far, but...

...I don't know whether to laugh, or cry. >_<

On the one hand, that was the best line delivery by Sango's seiyuu ever. On the other hand...

Here's a question for you...where is Miroku's kazanaa arm thingie in that first image? Doesn't look like he has it. o_O;;

XD Wasn't it, though?!! XD

*handsdown to Hokou* SHE IS T3H ROXNESS!!1 And at least they made Sango kick his ass for that. wink.gif On one hand, I'm willing to let his little lecherous ways slip after the manga chapters from last month...

...on the other hand...

Yesh. I seriously don't know whether to laugh or cry at those sometimes.

Today I chose to laugh.

I was drinking Pepsi. happy.gif

That... is a very good point. IPB Image Wow, he's cured. XD

Anyway... well, aside from the fact that Miroku was acting like a complete idiot during the first few minutes, this episode was very good. And like Kuro said, it was emotional toward the end. Surprisingly so; an episode hasn't come this close to making me cry since 107. I wanted to hug Kanta so bad... it's a good thing everything turned out all right in the end.

And this is a bit of a weird thing for me... this was one of the first episodes that really made me feel fangirlish when it came to Sesshoumaru. Usually I can take him or leave him, despite his overwhelming pwnage factor. But today... wow. Maybe it's because he looked so cool when Inu-tachi first ran into him. Maybe it's because he was acting nicer than usual, and Rin wasn't even around. Or maybe it's because Kanta made me feel all sappy and I just love everything right now. IPB Image Whatever the case, Sess really stole the show in this one.

Well... him and Hakudoushi. Oh crappish hell, I really don't know what to do about that kid. Because I think I want to marry him. XD But he's, like, ten. Not to mention the whole evil... thing. But I can't help it... the more I see him, the more I wanna see more of him.

At this rate, I'm going to be locked up. XD

My really short distracted thoughts while watching this ep:

About Sango's line ...Dear Lord, that woman is scary! (Both the character and the seiyuu)

The animation when Inuyasha 'fought' that headless youkai at the beginning was really nice! I had to re-watch that some five times.

Kanta is so CUUUTE! laugh.gif

And his dad was a sweetheart eh?

Pooor Chokyuukai.. ^^'

Yeah, Kanta's crying really had me for a while there...

We got a glimpse of Shippou's dad. Nifty!

Dude. I've been waiting for this episode ever since I read it in the manga last year, and hot damn, aside from the random "Bear my child" thing at the beginning, it did NOT let me down!

And it was an Ikeda episode to boot! ::swoons:: Ikeda's my favorite of the art directors, since she just makes everything look niiiiiice. Especially teh Fluffiness. He's only made a significant appearance in one other episode she's done (34), and I seem to remember thinking Sessho looked his best in that episode ^_^. Hakudoushi looked all cute and cool in her art style, too, especially when he was dejectedly throwing away heads.

And, holy crap, even I was getting all teary when Kanta was crying over his dad. You know, I'll bet Sesshoumaru would have revived the guy if no one else had been standing there watching. He's a closet nice guy.

However, I completely cracked up at Tenseiga.

Sesshoumaru: "I'm leaving."
Tenseiga: "Ohhhh no you don't." (tug)
Sesshoumaru: "ACK!"

I swear, that is the closest to a pratfall Sesshoumaru has ever come. The way he got subtly jerked backwards when he tried to leave almost made it look like someone offscreen was hanging onto his tail ^_^*.

But, regardless, I'd been waiting for this episode, because it's, like, the best Shippou moment EVER. One of the weakest characters in the series standing up to one of the strongest, and actually getting his way.

::cuddles Shippou and Kanta. ... And gives Sesshoumaru a pat on the head::

human form sesshomaru has a tail??

anyway, this ep was nice. Sango's voice was pure murder, lol. Chokyuutai made me laugh, wild pigs rule. And is it just me, or does Sessho ALWAYS have a wind blowing through his hair???

That cracked me up too. laugh.gif He's all high and mighty and "Forget it, I'm not helping you sorry people," and then Tenseiga suddenly goes all "WAIT A DAMN MINUTE, BUB," and he's like "...yessir." XD

If Tenseiga had a human form, I swear it would have smacked him on the head. tongue.gif

Man... ::sniff:: I've watched this episode three times just today, and I STILL get all teary-eyed during the Kanta-screaming-his-heart-out part. Well done, well done, Narahashi Miki.

And, of course, the Japanese blogs always point out things that I miss. There seems to be a universal gripe that this is played as the first time the group has seen Tenseiga in action. Well, according to the manga, it is. However, Inuyasha and Kagome witnessed Tenseiga back in episode 77 in a filler episode. And then there were a bunch of comments about Hakudoushi "nuzzling" all the dead heads. ^_^* Plus, apparently we're about to get into the "chicken lady" arc.

If Tenseiga had a human form, it would be Sesshy's nagging wife. "Don't you DARE walk away without doing something about this, mister!" And he, the every obedient man, would reply, "Yes ma'am".

Haven't seen the episode yet; just had to make a comment wink.gif I can't wait to see the Sesshy action!

Haha, that would be funny if one day, Sessho notices that Kagura is ALWAYS hiding in the bushes and sending gentle breezes his way, just so that his hair can float around and stuff.

Dang mannn...I have yet to watch ep 140 and beyond, and now I'm gonna go chew on my shoe. >< ::pinches self for spoiling her::
lu-chan
this ep left me a little confused-- so the shikon shard is in the border between this world and the next, which is where inutaisho's tomb is, which in turn is in inuyasha's eye. so where does everyone think they're going, walking off looking for the shikon shard? don't they just need someone to poke inu in the eye like when they got the tessaiga out of there last time???
Spectrum
The black pearl in Inuyasha's right eye that they used to get to Inu-papa's grave last time was a one-time-only deal; once it had fulfilled its purpose, it became useless (as you'll find out in the next episode). So getting to the place where the final shard is located is going to become a big deal in the upcoming episodes.
Sailor_Inu-lover
Isn't jsut me or does it seem like they are jsut dragging this thing out more than nessesary? huh.gif Not that I mind....

Right now what I'm more worried about is the fact that Naraku and his boy are searching for strong demons and who's stronger tham Sesshou? dry.gif Hmmmm......I haven't even wanted to read the manga translations, i'm too scared....I don't want anything to happen to Sesshou.... :blue:
Amethyst_Scream
Nothing will happen to our dear, dear Sesshou. Killing off characters isn't Rumiko Takahashi's style. :P
Sailor_Inu-lover
* Lets out the breath she's been holding*

I hope so! happy.gif

I would scream if something else were to happen to him. I mean I still cringe when i see the pics. and music videos of where Inu cut his arm.

Pooor Sesshou! :blue:

Tell me about it..I saw 142 and the first thing came to my mind when Haku was looking for strong Youkai was Sesshoumaru, I was a lil worry. Start watching 143, half way into it I totally forgot about sesshoumaru being kill or something. However, the moment I saw Rin that thought pop back up. *Shiver* This is kinda neat to see that the story is starting to involve Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru more. By that I mean instead of them chasing Naraku and Haku around all the time (repetitive). Now, Naraku and Haku have to go after Inu and Sess. Oh yeah, Shippo is still wicked cool since he saw the girla nd with no fear rush in to save her. LOL prevert..darn that Miroku influence lil Shippo. That part where they beg Sess to save that lil girl father was quite touching.
Patches
Nah, nothing's happened to Sessho yet. He's still alive and well, and probably about to do something again where the manga is currently.

As for the anime, don't expect to see him again for a while, unless the anime gives him more filler. However, his next canon appearance... is teh shiznit.
pengin9
does that mean no rin for awhile too :-( how sad..

and they had such a small part in this epp too

that is how the story should end...

Mirokua asks Kagura to bear his child... Sango goes bonkers and kills everyone in the vicinity (kagura, kanna, AND naraku)... then she maims the houshi...
Amethyst_Scream
How we love our Sango / Houshi conflicts. :P

But nothing can beat the Sesshoumaru -> Jaken beatings.
Moonbeamdanser
*I* do not love the Sango/Houshi conflicts. The writers need to stop screwing with their relationship. ~_~ Sango isn't the kind of character to stay with someone if they're acting like that...its crap. ~_~
