so i turned on cartoon nettwork the other night to watch some of the way- early episodes, and i noticed that inuyasha has red stripes on one side of his face. wtf? i totally missed that before. is it an injury i'm forgetting about or were they always on there in the original episodes? sorry if this is a dumb question, it's been a really long time since i watched those episodes...

It's just an injury. Sesshoumaru hit Inuyasha with his poison claws in episode 18 or 19 (can't remember which), and the marks stayed there for a little while.

I remember seeing a pic of that famous scene of Inuyasha hugging Kagome before I had seen the actual episode, and I wondered what the heck those marks were too.

oooooohhh, right. i remember that fight. that makes sense, a lot more sense than me totally not noticing a significant facial feature anyway! thanx spec!

they looked pretty cool too, hope he gets into a fight again then.
