Since he's seemingly disappeared from the face of the Sengoku Jidai, I wondered if we could just have some fun discussion on where you think he is, what you think will happen when he gets back...

and when he finally DOES return, we can throw the party in here. XD

Ginta: I thought you wanted some apples...
Kouga: ... yes... APPLES! ::lighting strikes outside::

Ginta & Hakkaku: ... ::WEIRDED OUT!::
Kouga: Inuyasha... you can never escape the apples!
Hakkaku: Quick, Ginta! Hide the apple sauce!!

So now we just have to see what will happen...
when Kouga and his apple schemes meets Inuyasha co.

Heh. Well, I mentioned elsewhere that Kouga has "only" been gone for 52 chapters at this point, which is still less than the Great Sesshoumaru Drought that lasted chapter 65 to 125 (60 chapters). Kouga's been missing since chapter 283, so if he shows up before chapter 343, Sessho will still have him beat.

Gasp! Maybe Kouga's possessed by one of those parasitic insects, and he, Ginta, and Hakkaku are being forced to dance a conga line around Naraku's fortress! Dun-dun-dun-dun-duhn-DAH! Dun-dun-dun-dun-duhn-DAH!

Oooh, Inuyasha'll never let him live THAT one down.

... Dammit, I just gave myself more fanart fodder. With a bunch of projects due at the end of the week, this is a BAD time to get distracting inspiration...

Yeah, but the big difference between Sesshoumaru's disappearance and Kouga's disappearance is that there wasn't really any reason to bring Sess back before they did--whereas with Kouga, there's every reason, seeing as he's got two out of the last three shards. >_< Then again... that might be exactly why Takahashi hasn't brought him back (it could very well mean the beginning of the series' end). Hmm.

Anyway, I've come to the logical conclusion that Kouga has simply been standing behind Inuyasha this whole time. Yep... the entire time. The (eventual) happy reunion will go something like this:

::Inuyasha finally turns around!::

Inuyasha: Kouga! Where the hell have you been all this time??
Kouga: Right behind you!
Inuyasha: Oh, you know I'd never look there!

::they hug, scene fades out::

YEAHHHHHHHH!!! I was seriously thinking we were going to find him half-dead and captured by Naraku...or that Takahashi had forgoten about him. YEEEEEEAHHH!!!

Nope he's alive..so is Hakkaku and Ginta

I forgot what happened in the chapter exactly..but yeah

Actually, it turns out that he was just due for quarantine after spending so much time in Hakureizan. So he just went in for a few shots, deworming, rabies treatment... and then the National Wildlife Foundation figured, we need to keep a closer eye on him, so they fitted him with a radio collar.

So next time this happens, we can track him down.

Hehehe.

Basically, no real explaination was given as to where he was. Presumably he was just wandering around, still searching for Naraku, as usual. He, Ginta, and Hakkaku come across a youkai that appears to be the made of youkai parts. So when Inu-tachi meet up with him, that's where the chapter leaves off.

Well I'm happy Kouga returns. The guy is funny.

I'm so happy Kouga's back. I've missed him a lot more than I realized. Now it's time to watch Inuyasha get jealous. I'm dying to see what unfolds with Kouga's two shards. Does anyone think he'd give them up willingly if Kagome asks him?

A friend of mine is absolutely estatic right now, mainly because Ginta are Hakkaku are back too. She adores those two. I could literally hear her squealing through the email she sent me.

Exactly. When it's Kagome getting jealous over Kikyou the mood is always sooo serious (and I know lots of people are tired of that as we've had QUITE a bit of it lately). With Kouga it's generally funny...and sometimes you get sweet little moments out of the mix. Plus I just like Kouga. He's funny.
