I think that out of any anime I've ever seen, Inuyasha has the most good opening and ending themes. I mean, shows like Cowboy Bebop have music that totally blows me away, but Inuyasha has had 4 openings and 6 endings, and not a one has been disappointing, with the possible exception of the very latest ending, which I just don't like. It really seems like that song (Itazurana Kiss) would have been better used as an opening or not at all... but anyways.

My all-time favorite is definitely 'Shinjitsu no Uta', the second-to-last ending. That's gotta be one of my favorite anime songs of all time. Sometimes when I'm watching an Inuyasha sub I'll skip the opening or the ending to get to the other stuff... but I've never once skipped past this song.

I love all the opening and ending songs in Inuyasha, but Do As Infinity does the best ones. I couldn't choose both, so I chose Fukai Mori. And come on, Sesshoumaru is in most of the ending anyways.

but when I started to like Sesshoumaru-sama
was when I saw Fukai Mori (he looks so nice at one point).
Fukai Mori IS the reason that he's my favorite.

AAAhhhh I love the part in Itazurana Kiss when they start back up the song again and show the poster of them. It was done so well. I would do anything for that poster, also, I saw that most of the InuYasha endings are sad and depressing, I was getting sick of that!

Go ELT! I really like both of the DAI songs as well. Tough choice...

Hmm, I didn't like many Inu Yasha songs. Especially the openings. Okay, I sorta like the new opening tune (exept the intro of the intro, you know, the part where Inu and Kagome say some childish things and then tell spoilers about the comming episode. I always skip that), but most others were poor. I HATE CHANGE THE WORLD!!!!!! The middle part is tollerable, but the refrain (or whatever it's called in English), good God, I can't listen to it. The endings were usually better. My Will was my favourite one, don't really know why. Others were nice too, though I don't really like the latest one.

For some reason, whenever I hear the beginning of 'Change The World', I always break out into giggles. "I want to chaaaaaange the world... la da dee, etc..." it just strikes me as so happily corny that I have to laugh. But I like the video clips in that opening enough that it makes up for the song. It's still not one of my favorites, though. The same goes for 'I Am' and 'Itazurana Kiss.' I do really like the other two openings, but I like the ending songs more. I guess I'm just more into the quieter tunes...

If I had to rank my top five, it would probably be something like:

5) Fukai Mori
4) My Will
3) Every Heart
2) Dearest
1) Shinjitsu no Uta

I swear, I could put all of those songs on a playlist and just listen to nothing else for days on end.

Ahhhh..I loves me some Fukai Mori!! ....that may be because Sesshoumaru is in the thing mostly...and I loves me some Sesshoumaru-sama~glomps him~ I also love Shinjitsu no Uta, but that could just be because i like do as infinity...ehehehehehe...

Grip grew on me after a while. I used to like Owarinai Yume more, but Grip is just so upbeat it puts me in a good mood.

Every Heart was nice

I got to add my nickel in here too! I watched quite a few anime and the music is something that you don't expect to be all that great. Then I watch Inuyasha and I trying to sing in Japanese cause the opening and ending songs grab a hold of you, making you feel the mood and MAKE you listen again and again. Now cause of Inuyasha I PAY for close attention to the opening and ending music in Anime's.

I can't imagine how hard it is for the creators to select these songs. So far they are batting a 90%, that newest ending sucks in my opinion its just not up to the quality that I used from these Inuyasha the song has like no feeling to it, the first ending song I really don't care for too much.

All the other songs are all burnt to CD's and have not been removed from my CD player in months! Plus a couple other ones too

I like Change the World. So far, my favorite of all them. I also like Grip, too.
Overall, Inuyasha has good music.

I've seriously started to like Every Heart.
But I still like Grip! and Fukai Mori...
Think I'll look up some more BoA songs.

I'm partial to a bit of Ayu, so I went for Dearest.

As good as the InuYasha songs are, because I always hear those songs as InuYasha theme songs, I subconciously make that link so the song is ruined if I listen to it outside of InuYasha (especially Grip!.. that song would be good but whenever I hear it I think "InuYasha" and not "Kaori Mochida has a fantastic voice" )

OOoh yay! fukai mori is at the top! niice. I love that song.

Change the world!

Actually, I think I like the first opening becuase of the animation and action scenes between all of the main characters. I also like the symbolism of how Inuyasha is viewed as a "loner" through walking in the forest, the snow and then finally on the shore of the lake. He is picked up at the end by his friends and you get a sense of what the series is truely about. (i.e. friendship/companions/etc.) Also, at the end of the intro clip, it gives a bit of foreshadowing about how Inu's friends change his personality and his world view via the change of his sullen face (before he sees them) to his smile (after Kagome grabs his hand).

That might be more information than what you wanted, so

Fukai Mori does come in at a close second because of the great, the honorable, and the perfect

I agree. I love Grip! and Shinjitsu no Uta, but I had to go with SnU as my favorite song. Which is hard for me to do because I really, really love the piano version of Dearest (which you HAVE to hear sometime).

Itazurana Kiss is growing on me. Do As Infinity is still my favorite band though. I love all of their songs.

Naishin_no_Miko, I love the piano version of Dearest! After SnU, Dearest is my favorite IY song (also, I've always thought it fit a lot of the episodes it was used for... what with Kohaku's reappearances, and Naraku's new underlings showing up, and Inuyasha's youkai transformations and everything, that was an angstier part of the series than usual), and the instrumental version is absolutely gorgeous.

And now, a random IY question: Why is Sango featured in My Will (along with Kagome and Kikyou) if she doesn't show up until ep 24, and that song only played for the first 20 episodes or so? I still remembering watching that ending every weekend on Adult Swim (before I started downloading subs) and wondering to myself, 'who the heck is this person?'

It's still weird that Sango hadn't shown up by the time they stopped using My Will as an ending.

They could have saved the all-female ending idea for later, after all. Because not even Kikyou made her real appearance until ep 14. That's thirteen weeks that originally went by during which the non-manga-reading viewers probably didn't have a clue. Just doesn't seem like the people in charge thought the concept all the way through before they decided on it. ::shrug::

My Will is still a real pretty song, though.

Hoahhhh... I love the Grip! opening, and Sesshoumaru's Fukai Mori ending is beautifully done, but I have to vote my all-time favorite---the ORIGINAL!! --Change the World. It's the first song, the best song, and it's my vote. ^_^

My most favorite must be Fukai Mori, I think it's one of the best songs I have ever heard, after that I don't really know... I think that BoA's song will be next, after that Grip! just because of the Instrumental part of the song... I really liked it... REALLY! Although I'm Ayu fan, Dearest wouldn't be in my first choices and when there's a good song, no matter who's the singer, I must give the singer the credit for it! (Do as Infinity, BoA and Every Little Thing)...
I hope that we'll keep in the tradition of the non-disappointing songs!

My first choice would be Dearest piano version followed by Grip! and Every Heart. I do enjoy SnU and Fukai Mori, it's just that I prefer slower music. I just realized IY is more than just a fantastic anime - it's a catapult to stardom for singers.

There are all kinds of boxes of Christmas presents right by the front door in their little shipping boxes. They will probably stay there till December too. My birthday is 1 week from today (August 4th) and mom said you probably won't get much for your birthday, but at Christmas we'll make up for it.

Is Kazaa Lite alot better than kazaa? Like is it easier to find stuff that is hard to find on kazaa with kazaa lite? I'm just wondering cause most of the hard to find Inuyasha songs I've found were from people who were using kazaa lite like I got the Fukai Mori and I Am (TV Size), the actual ones from the Inuyasha OST 2. Plus I got a bunch of other Inuyasha songs that were hard to find like the song it plays when it shows the name of the episode. Just want to know. Should I stick with regular old kazaa which I've been using for a year, or should I go with Kazaa Lite to download music, anime, and stuff?

Seeing as I am anti-Kazaa, I may not be the best person to answer this question. But from what I have gathered about Kazaa lite, it is the superior program between Kazaa and Kazaa Lite because there is no spyware/adware with the program. I actually got most of my IY OST MP3's from Direct Connect. I use Emule and ANIDB to get Anime that I plan on watching later on since it takes a while to download. Here's a link to the guide I wrote for using Emule and ANIDB. Using Emule and ANIDB

If I want something quick and fast, I use Direct Connect. It's pretty easy to use but it has some pros and cons just like any file sharing program. I could write a guide on how to use Direct Connect if there is a need for one.

Well, the two main things I've found about Kazaa Lite are that there's much less pop-up junk (I remember Kazaa used to spam my computer all the time), and that it's much faster. Kazaa has this thing where your downloads get higher priority if you have a higher participation level (the highest is Supreme Being), whatever that means, and Kazaa Lite automatically logs you on at the highest level, so you aren't Queued for nearly as long. Oh, and the search is better, so it's a lot easier to find what you want.

Overall, I'd definitely say it's worth it to switch to the Lite version, especially since there's not much hassle involved by doing so.
