Full Version: Episode 1: Golblin's Foot
#Animeforever > Animeforever Closed Projects > Inuyasha
Seijiro
In episode 1, early dubbings Inuyasha is called a goblin, also Kagome's grandfather gives her a goblin/demon's foot.

Is that Inuyasha's foot?!??? blink.gif
Patches
If I remember correctly, Kagome's grandfather gave her a kappa foot, which is a type of water sprite. The term that is translated as "demon" in the series to refer to Inuyasha and the others is youkai. English just doesn't have enough different words for "demon" to pick up these subtleties, so often two different words are translated as the same thing.

Kagome: [recieving a present]
Waah! Purezento!? (Whoa! a present!?)
Grandpa: [giving her the present]
Ichinichi hayai kedo na, (I know it's a day early, but)
Happii Basudee, Kagome! (Happy Birthday, Kagome!)
[Kagome looks at the Kappa hand]
Grandpa: [talking and talking bla bla..]
Koufuku o yobu Kappa no Te no Miira da.
(a mummified Kappa hand brings good luck)
Somosomo no yurai wa... (and it's history is...)

Aha, so the "Goblin foot",
was a Kappa hand. ^_~
Squidy
most likely it would turn out to be the dried flipper of a normal animal, like a seal
Kirara
It could be a platypus ^.^
IPB Image eh?
Seijiro
I'd say crack but not even crack heads are that messed up lol
Kagome-sama
LOL

I love platypusses. So cute and furry and ducky!! *cough* back to the topic... erm... ah yes, goblin hand. Well, I don't really think it matters that much. I mean, it was given to the cat. Am I right? Anyway, Yes it was probably another fake. (
