HOORAY FOR FLUFFY-SAMA!!! (or sesshoumaru-sama if you will) Fluffy-sama has got to be my all time fav inuyasha charrie..oh wait..~waves~ hi i'm new!! anyway..fluffy-sama is sooo cute^^ we all well know that he could have easily killed inuyasha several times, its just the fact that he didn't want to. Since he found Rin he's become a real softie..well as soft as he gets..he's still really anal at times, but what would Fluffy be without his snobby arrogant attitude?! ~sighs~ oooo i loves me some sesshoumaru-sama^^ WHEEEEE..ok i'm done ranting about mah bishie ~remembers the picture of Fluffy in swim trunks she drew....~ ehehehehe~drools~
Feh!

What I'd love to see is a flash-back of Sesshoumaru-sama  :D  and Inuyasha's father( do we know his name?)

Just for the sake of good trivia [lazy edit: my bad, see Bakadeshi's post below]: Inutaishou--eh, er...I mean, Sesshoumaru-sama's late father. He was a taiyoukai, or greater demon, of the western lands, or something like that. I don't remember ever having heard what either of the doggie-demon half-brothers' mothers' names were, tho. *now say the last half of the last sentence as fast as you can, as many times as you can* tongue.gif

IPB Image
...awwww, kaWAIIiii...
bakadeshi
Hehehe...and just for the sake of being difficult, I'll point out that "Inutaishou" isn't really a name, it's his title. He was the "Inu no Taishou" (leader of the dogs) but we don't really know a personal name of any sort. Granted, a lot of times people used titles to refer to their lord or master, but it's not really a name in and of itself...

[Edit: And here's also the part where I apologize profusely for mucking with your post by accident...somehow, I must have hit "modify" not "quote" when trying to respond to your post, Feh. My bad, I'm sorry I deleted your link to the puppy pic! It's adorable, I'll send you a bigger scan of that if you want ;_; My apologies!)

-baka deshi, who probably should not have been given moderator privs biggrin.gif
Patrioil
Why don't Sesshoumaru-sama just take one of IY's arms?
That way he may be able to control the Tetsusaiga...
because he can't... or can he? I knew he did it once,
but that was probably because of the Shikon shard in that arm.
Feh!
Heh, heh...s'okay, Bakadeshi, I think you do just fine. Moderate away!

...and I fixed the wittle Sesshy & Inuyashy pic. Thanks, tho--I've got a bigger version of it, too--I just made a smaller one for that post so it wouldn't cramp people's load time. But I guess, in case anyone wants it after reading about it, I could post the bigger puppy-pic here & see if it causes any trouble (that huge screenshot of Jakotsu on another thread didn't seem to). So:

I had my 'cute fix' for a week when I first saw this drawing... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Patrioil
Ahahah! That's exactly how I want to see them!
Now you gave me ideas... yes... I'll do fanart...
(It's not good giving kono Patrioil ideas)
Ozymen
Thats nice... where/how/ or who drew it?
Patrioil
It's a really nice drawing... but too cute for me!
Now, Kubo Taito, there you have a cool manga artist!
More blood! More Rukia! More bitch calling!

It's from a doujinshi. Baka could probably give more details on circle and the name of it.
Patrioil
This topic is called "Hail Sesshoumaru"(-sama),
so why isn't there a "Hail Patrioil"...?
Somehow this thought occured to me as natural.
Feel free to tell me to shut up. I suck.
Patrioil
And what I say shall be...
*snap with my fingers!*

It's a splash page from a doujinshi (a fan comic) called "Mince Special". I think it was a joint between Inuki and Inuatami Pro but I'd need to check to be sure...I've got a copy around somewhere but I can't seem to find it right now ;_; Too bad, it's really cute -- nothing but parody of the first few manga chapters and the art is adorable ^^ (My favorite part is Kagome trying to figure out what exactly Inuyasha is... "hanyou...so that would make him half...dog?!" Hilarity ensues.)

(As a side note, my lil icon there is from another doujinshi, but I've forgotten what circle drew it! Anybody recognize it? I'll give you a cookie if you can name it for me...)
Ozymen
thanx a lot for the 2 people who told me about the drawing... dont worry, i accumulated more info than i needed
that was a great analysis Bakadeshi...
THAnX AGAIN
Patrioil
I think I'm gonna go look up some
of em Inuyasha doujinshis'....
or just make some myself...
after all, I can draw. Wish I had as canner, though...

Now I can't get the "Must be Dreaming"
song outta my head again!
It's from that beautiful video Euphoria.
Sshadow
You can draw... biggrin.gif
Try to create Narajaku then.. that should look interesting..

Jaken and Naraku.. i am getting a strange picture in my head..
Patrioil
Yeah, I can just imagine Naraku with Jaken's hat.
Come to think of it, if you mix them together,
Narajaku would look like a green Sai from Hikaru no Go...
Sshadow
Hmm...

I don´t know about that.. Have to many series to watch right now. sad.gif

Maybe i should take a week of from work and just spend it with my favorite subject... ANIME... Or perhaps become a true Otaku. Naa.. not time for that..
Patrioil
Myouga: "In all my years, I have never seen Inuyasha-sama cry."
All my years, huh. How long has Myouga really known Inuyasha?
Did he know him when he was little and all that then?
And the most important question of them all yet to be answered:
Did he know Sesshoumaru-sama when he was little too?
Patrioil
By the way, Sshadow.
If we're both from sweden,
why not just talk swedish to each other?
... vi blir väl antagligen utkastade...
better not do that, then.
Sshadow
You are so right about that..

Troligen så kommer dom som kan japanska skriva det då
Probably the ones who know japanese will write in japanese if we write in swedish..

Gaah.. you tricked me.. biggrin.gif
Patrioil
Hm... does ANYONE remember what this topic is about?
Sesshoumaru-sama seems to have been forgotten,
so let's talk about him for a while, you idiots.
I've asked once, I'll ask again... why's that cresent on his forehead?
Inuyasha doesn't have any facial thingies... unless he's "transformed"...
Ozymen
It probabbly has something to do with a taiyoukai's blood...
indeed... it does seem a bit weird...
I think InuYasha would look much better if he had those marks all the time like his brother...
what about the moon thingy on his forehead? why do so many characters have something like that? i dont onderstand it... plz explain
Patrioil
Fashion style? Oh... I just thought of something...
Now I know why Sesshoumaru-sama can't be called a villain!
For all you who have... no, now my idead got messed up...
no wait! I though out something even better! Yes!
Look, for all you who have seen Sailor Moon as kids:
Sailor Moon had a cresent Moon on her forehead turned upwards,
that meant she was good, right?
Then there was some villains in Sailor Moon with black cresents,
all of the up side down. You follow me?
Sesshoumaru's on the SIDE and it's PURPLE!
Not quite golden pure, and quite tainted black!
(Why do I talk about Sailor Moon? I don't like Sailor Moon...)
Sshadow
I saw someones homepage.. hmm.. So you don´t like Sailormoon just the graphic then..

ooh my bad...

Yes Sesshomaru, was on the subject.. but hey.. nothing good and nothing bad to that softie... ;P
Patrioil
I had to have Sailor Moon on it,
otherwise they wouldn't promote it on Sailor Moon Radion!
I couldn't help it, I wanted it to be all about Ranma½ or something like that, really...

QUOTE(Patrioil @ Jun 1 2003, 03:24 AM)
I didn't think of Sesshoumaru-sama's age in the beginning.
And neither Kikyou nor Kagome
seems to have a problem with Inuyasha's age, right?
They look young, therefore they are young.
But I wish Sessshoumaru-sama and Inuyasha could get along...
why is it that they hate each other so much?
Only because Inuyasha's a hanyou? That so stupid...

He probably fel tthat InuYasha had deserted him when the Cats came back for revenge. And getting sealed by a human, who Sesshoumaru considers inferior, probably didn't help the matter.

And I believe Sesshoumaru cared very much for his Father.
Bankotsu-sama
Lio, Sesshoumaru is not quite as petty as that. The real reasoning behind most of his hatred for IY is A. he believes that his father died because he loved a human which made him weaker, i have a feeling that Sesshoumaru really loved his father and he sees IY a remnant of the thing that made his father weak enough to be killed. And B. IY is a dumbass who got sealed by a human and didnt show up for the huge battle against the cats only making sesshoumaru hate him more for not being there to represent for the dogs and there father.
MMD
I'd just like to re-affirm that Sesshoumaru-sama is l33t.

And he's going to beat Inu Yasha up in the third movie. Just you guys wait. =oP
Patrioil
Seems as if no one is posting in this forum.
maybe some got mad when I got my "Hail Patrioil"....
hehe... heheehhaha... mwohahahahHAHAHAHA!!!
Oh right! It got closed..... dammit... why...?

Anyways, Sesshoumaru-sama rulz!
Neither a villain nor a good guy!
And the only question I have is:
does he wear makeup? ...
... someone is gonna beat me up in the near future...
MMD
I'm surprised this topic has lasted as long as it has. Gogo Sesshoumaru-sama! cool.gif

I never thought of that, it makes complete logical sense to me, I would kick rear end too, for making my Dad look weak! Hopefully, Hopefully we get some insight in the third movie on the beef between these two, man I watch the trailer at least 3 times day!
Houshi_Sama
Just curious, why does Sesshomaru often refer to himself in the 3rd person? Is it something that people do if they think they're ultra cool? Or does "Sesshomaru" mean something generic like "demon lord" or something, and he's simply referring to himself as "this particular demon lord"?

Either way, it's bad grammar, and really, it could be a bad influence on Rin. Maybe she will start talking like he does: "This Rin will now go pluck flowers for Sesshomaru-sama!"
CrazyInuyasha
I've wondered that as well. I think it is something in the Japanese to English translation.

This Sesshoumaru...

This Naraku...

Maybe it is something cultural from the Japanese language.

I have a feeling this a question for Bakadeshi.

Special_Legion
what the... you guys seen the second inuyasha movie, where??? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Refering to oneself in third person means you are l33t. =P

MMD should try talking about himself sometime. ;)

As for Rin, she talks in third person for super cute effect. ^_^

For example:
"Rin, did you behave yourself?"
"Yes! Rin and Uh and Ah behaved ourselves."

(In Rin's answer, Rin talks in third person to be super cute. In fact, Rin and Sesshoumaru-sama had a conversation exactly like that. And just for reference, Uh and Ah just refers to the two-headed beast Sesshoumaru-sama keeps around.)
Patrioil
"Kono Sesshoumaru..." "Kono Naraku..."
It's like saying "I, Sesshoumaru" and "I, Naraku"
It isn't that hard to figure this out...
They're probably saying this because they think highly of themselfs.
"Kono Inuyasha!" wouldn't sound as good coming from Inuyasha...
Bankotsu-sama
Sesshoumaru also says Watash alot it seems to me that means i or i am, does it have anything to do with thinking highly of yourself cause i have never heard IY say it and ive heard other badasses use this in other animes????
Houshi_Sama
ok, another question... I know sesshomaru likes to act cool and all, but in the episode (81) where Naraku tries to absorb Sessho and Inuyasha breaks through Naraku with Red Tessaiga...

When Naraku is starting to absorb Sesshomaru, Sesshomaru just stands there as if nothing's happening! WHy doesn't he bother fighting off the pieces of demon stuff? Is there a reason why he doesn't even bother struggling? It looked weird, to say the least.
Patrioil
I have to say that it's not weird,
bacause it's Takahashi Rumiko's thing.
Her mind works like this sometimes.

I think Sesshoumaru-sama is trying to trick Naraku by not fighting back,
but it doesn't work out... and I think Sesshoumaru-sama could just "transform".
If he became that youkai dog he would probably break loose.
I mean... his youkai form is really big... and he would just kill Naraku... mwohaha.
MMD
Sesshoumaru-sama didn't fight back because he sensed Inu Yasha coming. So he used the Naraku flesh as a shield for the Kaze no Kizu.

oh ok, that's kinda what i thought, but... that's pretty risky strategizing...

well first of all, why would Sesshoumaru need to hide from IY's Kaze no kizu...
he can dodge it like we know how to cross the street... so why risk being taken
in by Naraku?

secondly, he couldnt care less for IY's coming, except from the part that he would
have some competition in doing Naraku off...

Thirdly, Sesshoumaru would never expect his brother to attack him while they
have to fight a common enemy...

about risking being absorbed, i will agree with the theory of transforming to a
big dogy... (as Patrioil says) just to see what Naraku is actually capable of...
Patrioil
Yeah... well...
he DO say that Naraku acted as a shield to him.
But maybe he's just trying to be cool... I dunno.
I have no idea what I'm writing here...
Sesshoumaru
I just wanted to say that Sesshoumaru is the man. ive been hooked on inuyasha cuz of him heh
Bankotsu-sama
I think everyone in here knows Sesshoumaru is the man, he and Bankotsu are the only reasons i watch this series that is starting to become rather stale if you ask me.

It may just have something to do with the fact that ive been watching Kenshin and the characters and storyline of it make IY look like something my dog coughed up.
Sesshoumaru was my favorite anime character ever until i saw kenshin and noticed it has 4 characters better than him in Hiko, saito, kenshin, and Aoshi.
Patrioil
I've happened to read a little of the IY manga,
who's a big leap further away from the anime.
I think it gets better... at least the parts I've read.
And there'll be about 10 more books...
so something good is bound to keep it going.

About this Kenshin thing.
I think Sanosuke is the best character.
"Is he a bad guy or not...?" warui
And I've seen some clips from the anime,
and I think the manga is a LOT better.
And Rurouni Kenshin has more female fans than male. tongue.gif
That's fun.. and the author has little chit chats now and then.

Like I can never like the Fushigi Yuugi anime,
just because the manga has the chat sections with Watase Yuu.
I think manga is better than anime. Just wanted to state that.
Houshi_Sama

I know Sessho said that, but it didn't really make sense to me for reasons Ozymen already stated. When I saw that subtitle, I thought that maybe something had been lost in the translation.

Maybe Sessho was just biding his time, but I'm not sure if I'd believe that scenario. If he was biding, he sure was taking his sweet time getting ready to bust out.

I personally think that episode meant to hint that Inuyasha may have surpassed Sessho in terms of power (at least when he is wielding new and improved Tessaiga), since he was the one who busted out of the youkai cocoon, not Sessho. But then again, in a more recent episode where Rin saves Jakken from poison, Sessho cuts through Inuyasha's Kazenokizu like it's nothing, so who knows!
Sesshoumaru
well my fav is Aoshi from Kenshin.. i think him and Sesshoumaru are alike in many ways. and it sucks that they dont have them appear that much in the anime.
miroku_sama
You know what's awesome?

That tiny snippet in, oh I forget what episode, where Kagome is talking to Inuyasha in a big dining room about how families still eat together in her time. Then we cut to Inuyasha's mind, where he's imagining Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha sitting across a table from each other. I was cracking up!

I personally like the episodes where Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha seem to "team up". It's very subtle, and neither one would admit to it being "teaming up", but vs. Naraku, and vs. the Cats from the West, those eps are just golden!
LordAlan
I just came to a very funny realization...

I know why Rin and Jayken always complain about why it takes so long for Sesshoumaru-sama to come back from a trip.

Its not that he takes long at doing what he needs or wants to do.

It's just that he persistently walks so darn slow! =P
