Wow ! this last chapter is just.... too much
aaaaah, can't wait can't wait can't wait !
I do really hope that Sesshoumaru and inuyasha will team together !

Hey , does anyone has an idea why Sesshoumaru is so attached to Rin ?
because he doesn't really seem to care for others... Well, even if he can revive Jaken later, it's not really *painless* for him to dye from Naraku's miasma...
I keep wondering a lot about it...

But I love it !

I think that we're drawing close to the end...
what a pity !

I think that this is really Takahashi Rumiko's master piece ! I think that Inuysha is a big mix up of everything Takahashi sama ever liked !
Love story (and love triangle) --> (maison ikoku)
Myth and legends --> (urusei yatsura)
Fight and fun --> ( ranma)
Darkness, blood and angst -->( mermaid's chronicles)

Did someone ever read 'Ningyo no mori' ?
(mermaid's forest)

I bought it last week ! waited 2 years to buy it ! Now I'm eventually able to understand it !
It's wonderful , I was crying my eyes out reading this !
It's so beautiful !!! (I mean, Takahashi sama 's work )
there's a lot of things in it reminding me of inuyasha.
well, let's say that Inuyasha reminds me of the Ningyo chronicles ^^, ( they were published in 1984^^)

argh ! babbling again !
sorry !!
lol

In other news, has anyone else noticed that when Chris says "shortly" what he really means is, "anywhere from two or three days to a week"? He still doesn't have scans from 324 up... Patches, quick, go complain in your blog!

Heh, well, unfortunately, I have not gotten quite so impatient about it yet, and I don't know if it'll work if I voice someone else's complaint. I'd give it another day. Then I'll complain.

Er, actually, it's my oekaki board on my weblog. Pitas.com weblogs don't come with their own comments section, so I figured I might as well nab a message board instead. And if I was gonna have a message board, might as well make it a fun one, huh? It's pretty new, so there's not a whole lot of stuff in it right now, but feel free to add something:

And, see, Chris? This is what happens when you don't update images. I have to come up with my own, and something tells me it's probably not what Takahashi intended happy.gif*

'Bout friggin' time.

And, yes, I did mildly complain in my blog last night. ^_^*

Anyway, yaaay, Tetsusaiga's got a new neat power. Wow, this is the first time anyone's gained a new ability since Tetsusaiga turned red. Bravissimo. But now Naraku's gone and disappeared again (and with the less-than-dramatic-ness of his exit, I'd say he's not dead). Unfortunately, it looks like Kagome's arrow also left a convenient hole in subspace, so they're probably not gonna have much problem getting out of there (which is too bad, because I'm really itching to see them team up with Fluffy, even for just a short time. Sigh...).

It really is getting close to the real end.
I agree though,Naraku can't be killed off that easily.
I'm still hoping for a group effort in putting him away for good.

Oh... my... God. That's awesome. laugh.gif Would it be all right if I used that in my sig for a while? I love it. biggrin.gif

Anyway... I just got back from a trip to Niagara Falls late last night, and the new manga chapter was a very nice surprise when I got back online today. Kongousouha is awesome--and it's about bloody time Inuyasha got a new attack! I know there have been more than a few complaints about the lack of cool upgrades in the series... well, this is a step in the right direction.

I wonder if Naraku is really gone, too. It was as close to a dramatic group effort in defeating him as we've seen, what with Inuyasha, Kagome (with Kikyou's arrow), and Sesshoumaru all doing their part. It could be that he really has been killed off, and we'll finally get to deal with Hakudoushi and the other half of Naraku Jr. again... Kanna's "half" in particular seems to hold some deep, dark secret that we haven't been let in on yet. Or maybe that's how Naraku will make it out of this one. I just hope that, whatever happens, we won't be left villain-less for too long.

And the gang actually managed to get the Shikon fragment after all. I'm impressed; for a while, I really thought Naraku was going to snatch it up like all the others. Well, that's all of them accounted for, now... not going to be many side-quests after this.

happy.gif* Sure, I don't mind.

As for Kongousouha... well, it's a neat attack, but I'm not too keen on the name. Maybe it's the excess of "o" sounds. It just doesn't seem like something you could yell very easily, especially with that "n" sound stuck in there.

I just really hope that Kagome's arrow didn't leave some sort of hole in subspace that they can all just hop through to get back to the world of the living, since that seems a tad too easy. I'd rather the next couple of chapters be devoted to them trying to puzzle a way out of there. But, we'll have to wait a week to see. Ah well.

Thanks a bunch. happy.gif

I dunno about Kongousouha... the way Yamaguchi Kappei screams "Bakuryuuha!", I almost think he could pull it off. Coming from any other person it would sound weird, but for Inuyasha, I think it works. I can't wait to see him use it in the anime, if only because the diamond Tetsusaiga should look awesome.

I'd also like to see Inuyasha-tachi try to puzzle out a way to escape the boundary between the worlds (and I've still got my fingers crossed that the spirit of Inutaisho will help them out... what was the point of staging the battle in his grave otherwise?), but I'm not sure what the odds are leaning toward at this point. Chris's translation wasn't very clear as to whether or not that dimensional crossing thing was still there after Naraku had completely vanished or not. It also wasn't quite clear to me if it was Naraku who had created it, or Kikyou's arrow. At times like this I really wish I had the manga for myself... but this way is free, so I'm certainly not complaining. smile.gif
Kuro
Kongousouha! Can't wait to hear Kappei scream THAT one!!

Hehe, well, first post here, I guess. Couldn't resist joining in on the Inuyasha chat. smile.gif

As for Naraku vanishing... yes, one of the last panels is of Sesshoumaru standing, staring where Naraku's time "bubble" (it really does look like a bubble surrounded by crackling energy) had vanished. All that's left is a little glowing light, but it's pretty clear that the lights are fading away there.

My stomach just about did a flip when I read the chapter!
Rynn

The website that has the translations also puts up scans, so that's what most of us are referring to when we talk about the pics. Link's here, just in case you didn't have it.

And the same website also has a section on how to get the manga for yourself, if I'm not mistaken. So if you're wondering about that, you might want to check it out. happy.gif

CHAPTER 326 spoiler

This chapter shows what happens to Naraku. Yes, he does indeed escape back to Kahaku, Kagura, and Hakudoushi. Inuyasha's gang is still left in the other world, but Housenki doesn't really make it clear what will make it possible to get out. He just says "You should go back to your original world. The gate is slowly closing." So Inuyasha's group is following Sesshy the last time we see them.
Spectrum
Nice spoilers... thanks, Kuro. happy.gif

Kohaku is in the next chapter? Excellent. biggrin.gif We haven't seen him since he got his memories back. Haven't seen Hakudoushi in quite a while, either... a nice little bad guy reunion, then?

So Inu-tachi did end up getting stuck then, eh? Maybe they'll have to hitch a ride on Sesshoumaru's fluffy after all. wink.gif And that means there's still a chance that their dad's spirit could help them out... come on, Inutaishou, now's your big chance!
Patches
Meh? They're leaving already? Well, at least they actually have to figure out how to leave rather than have the way conveniently open for them. But... what was the point of Sesshoumaru even going there in the first place, then? Way back when, after he revived Kanta's dad and was listening to him talk about the boundary world, didn't he say something like, "So, Tenseiga wishes me to go there?" I really don't think Tenseiga wanted him to go there just to hack away ineffectively at Naraku. Unless he was just supposed to go there so that Inu and crew would have a way out (if that's the case, I'll bet Sess feels really good about his daddy's opinion of him right now... -_-*).
Kuro
Well, technically, everyone kinda did have to work together to get rid of Naraku that last time. Inuyasha's Kangousouha ripped through Naraku's barrier, and Sesshoumaru broke him apart with Toukijin. Then Kagome used Kikyou's arrow to shoot the last remains. There's probably a little more that will go on before they get out of the other world. For some reason, Sesshoumaru seems extremely annoyed at Naraku and really isn't paying the Inuyasha gang much mind.

While this is true, it really doesn't seem like something that Tenseiga would send him all the way to the world of the dead for. Unless Sesshoumaru was just reading too much into Tenseiga forcing him to revive Kanta's father and figured that there must be something in it for him if he did, rather than thinking that Tenseiga was just wanting him to do something nice. Plus, when that original scene happened, it sure didn't sound like he was contemplating going there because he thought Naraku would be there as well (that was just an added bonus later).
QUOTE

Well, that's nothing new ^_^*. He seems to be suffering from "the one that always got away" syndrome. He's been foiled so many times by Naraku, he's become obsessed with killing him, and probably doesn't even remember the initial reason he got mad at him in the first place.
Spectrum
Translation for chapter 326 is up...

You know, the more I see of Kohaku, the more I really like him. You have to give him credit for managing to keep it together after regaining his memories, in a situation where most kids probably would have completely fallen apart--not only that, but he's done a decent job of keeping the fact that he does remember a secret. And he's even got the best plan to kill Naraku anyone has come up with yet (of course, his having inside information doesn't hurt).

If only Naraku wasn't one step ahead of everyone and everything all the time! I really don't like his evil smile and all of the foreshadowing in this latest chapter. Not that I didn't see this coming a mile away... but I don't want Kohaku to die, damn it! sad.gif Sesshoumaru need to haul ass out of the boundary between worlds now and go save him! >_<
Kikyou
I wonder if Kohaku will now team up with Kagura, that'd be ineteresting.

Though one thing did confuse me towards the end of that chapter, in reguards to flushing out Kikyou. Is he going to send Hakudoushi to make her appear and Kohaku to go after her assistants, since he said something about the compaions.

While Hakudoushi flushing out Kikyou sounds straightforward enough, I'm wondering whom "companions" is referring to. Since Kagome had one of Kikyou's arrows, perhaps he assumes that Kikyou has teamed up with the main party. I'd actually have to see the Japanese of that statement to form a better opinion, more specifically whether he used "nakama" (possibly plural) or "nakama-tachi" (definitely plural) when referring to "companions".

I mean, earlier, it seemed like Naraku didn't think anyone could make it back from the boundary world except him, but does that opinion still hold? If Naraku definitely thought they'd be coming back, he'd probably send Kohaku directly to the gateway to meet them there. If he thought there was only a possibility of them coming back, he'd probably send Kohaku to go nab Rin for extra insurance in case they do (no sense having the kid just mull about in front of the gateway if there's no guarantee). So, if the word was "nakama-tachi", Kohaku would be going to the gateway. If the word was "nakama", Kohaku still might go to the gateway, but Rin's another added possibility.

Or, maybe I'm just reading too far into it and am just wondering what the heck Rin's doing during all this.
Kuro
"Tsureiwa... souda na. Kohaku ga yokarou." is what he said. Which I actually read as "Companions... that's right. Kohaku will do."

What I think that means is that he expects Hakudoushi to draw out Kikyou, and expects that Kohaku can also serve to draw out everyone else.

::reads:: Hueh? Did I... miss something? How is everyone suddenly back in the normal world? Even though they made a point that leaving the world of the dead would prove difficult, did Sesshoumaru's presence suddenly make it such a trivial matter that telling us that they actually left seemed unneccessary?

The hell?? I agree with Patches--it almost felt like they skipped a chapter, what with Takahashi jumping straight to Hakudoushi and Kohaku's mission, and everyone suddenly back in the real world like nothing happened at all. I hope the anime expands on that a bit, because the jump from one situation to another felt really awkward.

And I'm back to disliking Kagome again, after a brief period of liking her due to episode 123. She can just be so damned petty sometimes. She doesn't trust Inuyasha at all when it comes to Kikyou, and she's being ridiculously immature about it. Sitting Inuyasha twice for no reason (even if he had been talking to Kikyou, it wouldn't have justified an osuwari) won't exactly help their relationship in the long run. Oi... guess I'm just a bit frustrated with that.

...And this doesn't really have anything to do with anything, but unfortunately for Becky Tailweaver, it seems that Inuyasha has absolutely no problems whatsoever when it comes to dealing with youkai rats. Oh, well. wink.gif

yeah... I got kinda bewildred myself for a moment...
but I convinced myself that it was normal, yeah.
so I made up my own little story in my head,
about how they got out and where Sesshoumaru went.

What We Didn't See

Sesshoumaru-tachi got through the gate,
and Sessh made IY bow before him,
since the guards could just kill Inuyasha.
Then Kagome and the others fled,
leaving IY obeying his brother over and over.
when Inuyasha then got back,
about 3 days later - no one talked about it,
out of consideration for Inuyasha... *ahem*

btw... they did take the way through the gates, right...?
Shiori
Perhaps they will do a flashback like they do on Family Guy and show how they got out.

Peter is on the street and there's a guy dressed in a chicken costume giving away free coupons and Peter says, nuh uh, not after last time. Then it flashes back and he had gotten a bad coupon from the chicken and they end up getting into this massive fight that is quite hysterical.

Ahem, yes...Fianance homework..... blink.gif

Chapter 328 spoilers

Hmm... okay, the title is "mayose." Which, when I translated it, could mean "The devil's last move," or possibly "Devil gathering." I'll leave it at that for people to ponder over.

...okay, and I thought I was confused before... I'm a little more cofused now. Kikyou is indeed still alive. And apparently she's regained some of her power. If not all of it.

I'm still trying to translate all of it (just got it, like, ten minutes ago).

And no, no real explaination yet on how they got out of the grave. I was hoping there would be clues or something, but there's really nothing there. I'll write more later if anyone wants to know... smile.gif

Wow...I just got done going through 328 and Kikyou does seem stronger than ever with what she did...Poor Sango coming across Kohaku releasing the rats. Next week should be even better!

It's just too bad I can't understand chinese...

Kuro
... am I the only person who found the double osuwari tremendously funny? As stupid as this is, it's like, I was WAITING for an osuwari moment! I mean, we haven't had an osuwari moment in... months!

Okay, that aside.

The basic premise is that when Kikyou creates the Ogatamano (I have NO idea what that translates into...) tree, she's drawing the rats towards it. Kagome notices that the all seem to be heading for one place, so everyone splits up; Kagome and Inu towards the rats destination, and Sango and Miroku to the source.

Hehe, and more Inuyasha/Kagome anguish over Kikyou: (Meh, kinda paraphrased)

KAGOME: That's right. Naraku aims for Kikyou's life.
INUYASHA: Afraid of Naraku, Shippou? If that's the case, maybe you should have stayed with Miroku and Sango.
SHIPPOU: I dont' think so. When you meet with Kikyou, there's this weird stuff that goes on, and who has to comforting Kagome? GET IT, YOU TWO-TIMING DOG?

The last scene of course, shows that Kohaku is the one controlling the source of the rats.

The interesting thing is that his last line, as he looks up at Sango, is "Ane-ue." Something he hasn't seemed to call her in a while...
Spectrum

And upon looking at the last couple of chapters... nope, there's not even an implied indication of how the hell they got out of the boundary world. One minute they're following Fluffy, the next, they're all back, safe and sound. Spinny spinny head, laaa.

AND WHERE THE HECK IS KOUGA?!
Kuro
I guess Housenki was right after all, the gates didn't close all the way. As long as they high-tailed out of there, they could all get out safely.

Still, what I wouldn't give to understand Chinese right now. blink.gif Sango just went nuts when she saw Kohaku, leaping off Kirara and attacking him frantically, but I couldn't understand a thing of what she was saying. The rat situation has me pretty much bewildered, too... though it was nice all the same to see Inuyasha get a good shot in at Hakudoushi, futile as it may be with that kid.

Besides for not really knowing what's happening, my other main gripe is that pretty much nothing from the last chapter has been resolved, so yet again we've been left hanging. But with Takahashi, I've come to expect that by now. tongue.gif
Patches
Doh, you beat me to it by, like, ten minutes. :P

Yeah, and since Kohaku has now regained the memory of his sister, the first time he meets her again, she goes postal on him. Sigh.

And, yeah, I can't read Chinese worth a crap, either. I can make out characters' names, "Kaze no Kizu", and that one thing on the last page that Kohaku thinks to himself I'm taking to mean "big sister". Other than that... well, it looked like they beat on the rats, but the all came back to life. Or something. And what was that big slug-looking thing on the tree? And where'd Fluffy get off to? We need him back so he can give Kohaku a good Tenseiga-ing. He said he wanted to find Naraku's heart, so maybe he'll eventually run into Kanna and baby #2. Haven't seen much of them lately, either.

But just when everything looks to be hopeless... Kouga will show up and save them all. ::nods sagely:: Yeah, he's just waitin' for the right moment. That's it.

and that one thing on the last page that Kohaku thinks to himself I'm taking to mean "big sister".

Yeah, he calls her "Ane-ue" again for the first time in the "Mayose" chapter.

The prologue for chapter 238 is "The flood of zushi rats (zushi nezumi) continues. What can be done to stop it?"

It's hard to tell by the pictures alone, but the dialogue in chapter 329 kind of tells a little bit about Naraku's intent. Although a bit obvious from earlier chapters, Hakudoushi seems pretty confident that they won't be able to escape from Naraku's plot again.

...yeah right. wink.gif

And in the last frame, Miroku notices that the rats seem to be heading back to where they're coming from...

So maybe it's not quite as pointless as it looks. The rats are heading back to Kohaku.

As far as that last battle with Kohaku goes, Sango is just screaming at him, something to the effect of her wanting this to REALLY be over. "this is the last crime, and I won't leave!"
