So have you cried? Have you felt like crying? I bawled my eyes out when Shippou was trying to protect Kagome, Sango, and Miroku with his fox fire when the building was on fire.

I havn't cried because of IY... but I've been close.
I cried my heart out on Fushigi Yuugi (bok 7 & 8),
and I cried for a whole month when I read the end to Hikaru no Go.
This may sound incredibly wrong that kono Patrioil cries...
but that's the truth, and she'll allways be a softie for anime. ^^
Today i almost started crying at a scene in my IY AMV...
it just looks so sad... with Live n' Let Die playing! ... yeah
IY tries to stand up, and coughs (when he coughs blood... you know).

Ep. 109. Only because I had been in a situation similar to what Kagome was in. Seeing the man you love with some one else. I did the same thing, I had to turn away. And in the Movie "The love that Translates Time" It was a little happy tears when InuYasha pulls Kagoma to hold her and he said "I need you... why don't you understand that?" aweeeee. it was so cute. But the one I did the most in I forget the Episode #. It was the one where Kagome saw Inu grab Kikyo and scream that he will never let anything happen to her again in the woods and she ran off into her own world. Then she came back and grabbed her hand. It was so cute and also so sad at the same time.

For some reason, I always get close to crying on that early ep, with the Mononoke girl, when she's being dragged into hell. Not really a great tear-jerking scene, but still... it does to me.

I've never cried during an anime. My eyes sometimes really water, though. Some of the more memorable moments...
1) (Rurouni Kenshin) The flashback with Anji, when he's crying after those kids were burned to death. It sucks when you're powerless to stop people from hurting innocents. No wonder he got so ripped afterwards. Man, I forgot to put Anji in my "fave anim char" list.
2) (DBZ) I can't believe I found a DBZ scene to be sad. But when the dying Vegeta begged for Goku to kill Frieza, it was sad.
There's a few others, but those stand out the most in my mind. The 1st one because it was so sad. The 2nd one because I still can't believe I was moved by a DBZ scene.
And for the record, I've never really been moved by an Inuyasha scene. I know that the main chars are gonna live in the end, they're not gonna die or anything.

the part that ALMOST made me cry was definitely the scene with Shippou protecting everyone with his foxfire. Not all of it, just the very very end, when he starts sobbing and wailing. And Inuyasha's expression. I think if either thing had been different, it would have lost most of it's effect.
Other than that, stuff has made me really sad or whatever, but not anywhere close to crying.

There's three anime scenes that made me cry...
for some utterly strange reason.

yeah...
1. Sailor Moon.
When I was little and saw the end of ep. 45...
I
really cried. When all of Sailor Moon's friends stands there.
Though they're dead they're still supporting her,
and then she starts running across the icy landscape.
2. Ranma½
I started to "half" cry when reading book 22.
I don't wanna spoil anything, but I felt so sorry for Ryouga...
and that was probably the only time I've cried in Ranma½.
3. Pokémon - The First Movie
For some strange reason I liked one particular scene,
when Ash is semi-dead but then everybody revives him.
And then when he looks up (incredibly well done scene),
I just started crying out of pure joy... I know it sounds strange.

I've cried during Fushigi Yuugi, Cowboy Bebop, Ayashi no Ceres, Escaflowne, and Digimon Tamers, because I hate endings where people have to say goodbye, and such is the case for all of those. But I haven't cried during any other anime, including Inuyasha. I'm sure that when the end of Inuyasha rolls around, however, I'll be watching with a box of tissues in hand.

I have gotten misty-eyed at quite a few scenes, however. The ending of episode 52 comes to mind. I felt so bad for Inuyasha that it was almost hard to watch the first time, seeing him struggle to wash the blood off of his hands, and then sit there with Kagome afterward. That's probably one of the saddest scenes in all of IY so far. And like a few others said, the episode where Shippou tried so hard to protect everyone with his kitsune-bi (107, I think) also got to me a little bit. That scene, and also the one later on when Inuyasha and Shippou realized everyone was alive. (Hell, that scene even got
Inuyasha to cry.

)
But I'm sure the majority of tearjerker moments are going to come up later in the series. Especially if there are any character deaths toward the end, which odds are there will be (though I don't want to think about it).

Hmm...Lion King. I cried during Lion King. How can you not cry as Simba tries to wake up his dad? But that's beside the point, since the poll was whether or not I've cried during InuYasha.
While I have been deeply moved by many moments in InuYasha, I have yet to cry. But seeing as I'm a baby (like I see a few of you also are) I'm sure by the end I'll have cried at least once.
Come to think of it, I'd be surprised if I didn't cry. I've cried during things such as country songs, television sitcoms, Disney movies, books (Narnia, Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter to name a few), comedy movies (such as Bruce Almighty...for the love), and every time I see the movie Armaggedon (I don't know..it's the music or something).
Wow. That's an embarassing list. And I left out quite a bit. Sigh.

Call me callous, but I never cry while watching television or movies. Visual things don't tend to make me teary, no matter how moving the story is. Books, on the other hand, often get me close to tears. I dislike crying (makes me feel like a weak female) so I usually restrain myself, but certain stories always tug at the heartstrings. Literature just sucks me in deeper.
I will admit to crying over certain fanfics, if only because I mourn for the sorry state of writing these days... >_<

Oh, you have noooo idea how paranoid I am regarding character deaths. Fushigi Yuugi was the very first anime I ever watched - and Yuu Watase certainly does a job of proving that MAIN CHARACTERS CAN DIE
Now! I will say that I have cried during some points of IY, but it wasn't anything like Fushigi Yuugi... A few tears, but enough to designate as truly crying. The scene that comes to mind most clearly is the one where Kagome was back in her world, crying, then she finally realised that she loved Inuyasha and that she really needed him. That was just too sweet for words... but sad at the same time, because they chose to be 'just friends'
Now. I tend to cry a lot. I like crying over anime/movies/books/etc though because I like it when things are emotional. I cried during (anime: ) Fushigi Yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, Kenshin, and Full Moon wo Sagashite, (movies: ) A.I., The Green Mile, (books: ) Dragons of Winter Night, Dragons of a Fallen Sun, and the latest Harry Potter book (WHY did she kill THAT character???? Authors/mangaka have a habi of killing of my favorite chars >.<). And I love it. Though.... Ayashi no Ceres was a real bad kind of crying. Didn't like that one. Overall, Fushigi Yuugi made me cry the hardest and the most, Ayashi no Ceres was the worst possible kind of sadness for me, and Inuyasha was usually tears for the sweet moments.... ^^

Don't say that, Nuriko no Miko! That main characters can die!!
He's coming back... he is... *cries* I know he is! He can't just be gone!
I cried during the "Jie-Lian massacre" too... poor little Tamahome...
Fushigi Yuugi is really funny, but it really breaks you down sometimes.
Full Moon wo Sagashite havn't made me cry yet...
but I haven't read that much (since only chap. 1 - 4 is translated).
I really feel for Takuto, though. I wanna know more about him.
Btw, is the scene with the angel wings in the anime too...?
But has anyone here read or seen Hikaru no Go?
That was the saddest and happiest ending ever... I cried a lot.
I think Hikago held me down crying more than any other manga.
It's so sad when Hikaru dreams about Sai, who just looks to the right.
Then he gives Hikaru his fan... *sigh* It's a really good ending.
An ending without words... have you EVER seen anything better!?

Listen to your brother.

I know I was going crazy waiting for my sister to finish book five so I could talk to her about it. There's just so much in that book to talk about. You could debate stuff for hours. (And though I didn't mind the character death so much, it was still easily the most depressing Harry Potter book so far.)

I finished it in three days. Would have been quicker, but I had to go to my aunt's wedding, so it was a hectic weekend. Still, I couldn't put that book down. (I was joking with my siblings about reading the book during the ceremony and coming to the character death, and screaming, "NOOOO!!!" right when the bride and groom were about to kiss.

)
Like I said, though, I didn't mind the character death too much (and there was a lot of foreshadowing in the book, so I kind of saw it coming). The only character whose death would have traumatized me is Ron. (Oops, I guess that's a spoiler for everyone who hasn't read the book. Ron doesn't die. Heh.)
Patrioil, I've cried during Bambi and The Lion King, but never during any other Disney movies. It's hard not to crying during those two, though. Poor Bambi, poor Simba.

And you might have an eternal urge to talk about the book, but you could always find an HP forum online to discuss it... or you could talk about it here, since we seem to have derailed this thread.
