Where does the timeline for the first Inuyasha movie take place? Before this new session? After? Etc etc.
Second, I read there was some kind of 2002 inuyasha movie but I've never seen it yet and it's already been 2003. Anyone clue me in on this?
Thanks in advance.

FYI, I think the 1st movie fits in somewhere after ep 54 myself. Inuyasha uses an attack at the end of the movie that is not available to him til after ep 54.

Well, in the first movie, he knows Bakuruyaaha (Im just gonna follow
SaNkOn-TeSsOu's spelling) but he still needs to see the fissure created by youki to use Kaze no Kizu...so doesn't that kind of contrafict itself?

I'm hoping that the 2nd movie will be available this summer on DVD. Then I can get it at DragonCon and try to rip it, but THIS TIME I'll be able to do a better job, and actually send it to someone. *ahem*
(Not like my first attempt with movie #1)

Hehe...you best run for cover, boy! Info about the 2nd movie is well detailed in the anime-forever faqs AND our faqs, so STOP ASKING ALREADY! We will sub the movie when we get it, and not any sooner!!! WAH!
*curls into the fetal position and rocks back and forth*
*un-curls long enough to post info about the third movie*
The third movie trailer has been translated; the problem is that the source is utter crap. Not worth a re-encode, it'll just loose too much

I will post the text of it in another thread though, that way ppl can know what it says.

The second movie DVD will be released for sale in Japan on August 21st, 2003.
The third movie will release into theaters December 2003. It will probably not be available on DVD until August 2004.
The third movie's trailer (FGF probably knew where it was and saw it before YOU did--we don't live in the boonies or anything, y'know) is crappily encoded, so we'll probably only end up providing a translation somewhere on FGF's website and giving people a link to see the trailer. When? I dunno, why don't you WAIT and see? Dear God!--what a concept...

Nah my name was long ago in another jap series which I have no clue what the name is since it's older then DBZ but still.
So lemme get this straight, a 2002 movie, hasn't been jacked, and been translated? Darn, I mean even in the first movie, I remember the version I had was some guy filming it lol.

If you ask me the movie isn't directly connected to the series. As others have mentioned InuYasha learns Bakuruyaaha and the instant-Kaze no Kizi in episode 54. From that point on we never see him look for the "youki collision" again, yet in the movie he's still using it. If it were that alone then it could be decently explained away, but there's another problem. Sesshoumaru also doesn't have his Toukijin which he gains in episode 45. These things seem to say to me that the movie(s?) is more of a AU story than anything else.
