well, i just finished the 24th vol. of scanned/translated manga of berserk, and i'm dying for more. the next little bit will include stuff from the manga which happens waaay after the anime - so if you want to read it and haven't yet, look elsewhere.










the anime has so much more to go - how they get out of that hell-hole, the skull night (introduced right after the ending of the anime), how gatts/guts/gatsu gets his kick-ass sword (or slab of iron), etc. all of it is explained in an incredible manner. some of the fights here - like with zodd again or the knights of holy chain (or something weird like that) vs pagans - are incredible. the orgies rock also

the anime has another 12-14 vols of manga to cover for now, but even at vol 24 the manga is sooooooooooo far from over. (highlight this to read) griffith is already conquering the world, rebuilding the band of the hawk. gatsu is finding out more and more about 'the brand' and what is going on around him. and that new guy (not the monkey-kid) seems like another, younger version of griffith. so much left to cover... i want more :



soooo... anyone know when vol 25 is coming out?

i just finished watching the anime a few weeks back and was SO pissed to find out that that was all there was. have you (or anyone reading this) heard of any plans to continue the anime?

There was rumors about a berserk 2 to come out. But so far nothing has happened any which way other than rumors.

if it turns out to be more than rumors, i am expecting you guys to jump right on it

I don't know if they have the stuff available for download though, i got my stuff through a third party.

Band of the hawk is still doing scanlations of berserk but I think the manga is still going on so you have a wait.

Their irc channel is #hawks on mircx. The topic lists volume 25 of Berserk due on the 27th of June. I know I'll be grabbing it myself on that date. Berserk is by far the best manga I've read so far.

From what i have heard, at least as far as the anime goes, is that the guy who was doing was planning on moving forward with more of the story but he died. I dont know how reliable my source is but i remember reading when i finished the series going "wtf? is that it?" . I went to one of the big time fan sites cant remember the name it might have been the hawks dunno, but they say the dude is dead hence the delay in further story.
