justinianus(roman emperor).

yuris latinized is writter iuris(ius, iuris=law, of law).
yuris maybe a modification of the japanese yuri(=lily) or yuri(george in russian). but, the "s"? if they intended yuri, thats exist in japanese, they probably would have written simply "yuri". "take the "iuris" case:

justinianus made 2 important things:
1) hagia SOPHIA(church) a symbol of union between roman empire and christian religion.
2) corpus IURIS civilis(=body of civil law=roman law=diritto romano).

1) a project to create a church for the christian religion in costantinopole. a
syimbol, an eternal monument, a tombstone?!?(old churces were also cemetary, crypts. see connections between sophia and his eternal love for the dead alex).
2) a codification of the roman law that was trasmitted to the middle ages and base
for modern law(in europe, italy).
in the world now there are only three great legal systems, sharia(islamic), common law(english and american), roman law(diritto romano).

note: modern roman law(of justinianus) isn't the law of the romans. is something quite new for the time. whien now we speak of roman law, we intend the justinian's one:

" Justinian, however, is most famous for the body of laws that he promulgated—the Corpus iuris civilis. This was not only a great legal achievement in codifying Roman law, it was also the first systematic attempt to synthesize Roman law and jurisprudence with Christianity. Although Byzantium would eventually fade in influence, from the eleventh century onwards, Justinian's Corpus iuris civilis became the foundation of all European law and legal practice (except for England).

Justinian is also credited for founding Byzantine architecture with his building of the Santa Sophia(=hagia sophia) in Constantinople and the church of San Vitale in Ravenna, Italy. The Santa Sophia continued the Roman tradition of building domes, the architecture of the Roman basilica, but it was carried out on a scale unheard of in earlier centuries."

it's a case? too many cases* .. !?!

I'm seriously impressed by your huge storage of knowledge--but it would be nice if you could organize your trivia info--and analyze it for us. What conclusions are you trying to draw?

I have another theory. I think her name is actually Eurys. Why? I think it's short for Eurydice. (Like Lavi is probably short for Lavinia) The legend of Orpheus and Eurydice meshes with Alex and Eurys rather nicely.
