this is a tough one for me since cause i like Bankotsu and Sesshoumaru so much but when it comes to coolness i dont think sesshoumaru can be topped. the mans expression is almost never effected by anything. and he would beat anyone in the show in a 1on1 so i must choose him.

personally i dont see why you would have to judge that on a 1on1 basis system (that would apply on "the most powerfull" poll) but more likely on a persons ability to handle a situation/ their quotes (when i say quotes, i mean the fact that they say something that makes you think (think about Kenshin here.. allways talking to ppl))/ their reactions and generally all that makes each character an individual...

Im not going to vote for anyone cause i think that there is a variety of thoughts i could have to make that decision...

1> i could vote Sesshoumaru for his cool sprite and his unaltered expresion
2> i could vote InuYasha cause of his childish stupidity, his cool sword (and way with the sword) and treatment of situations (one of my favourites with Kagome's bro)
3> Naraku... simply bcause he is pure evil...
4> Jakotsu... he is different and in his own little world

And weilds his Banryuu with a smile, that Banryuu brings memories til Sanosuke (Ruoroni Kenshin), who weilded something similar.. eeh.. i lost why i started writing that.. oh well..

It's true that the show wouldn't be anything with out all of these characters. When you think about it, each character is pretty much a "cool" 8) character.

But don't forget why Miroku wants to have a child.

Who else can wear a fluffy, look like a woman, and still make other people quake in their boots? My beloved Sesshoumaru-sama is the coolest Inuyasha character, hands down. Sure, Inuyasha manages not to get his head chopped off, but no one has ever, EVER been able to kick Sesshoumaru's *ss. (insert butt joke here)

Kagura oughta be on that list! IMO, she's definitely one of the coolest characters in Inuyasha. But, since she wasn't an option, I picked Miroku. I don't care about his pervertedness--hell, that's one of my favorite things about him! Add the fact that he's smart, strong (the kazaana kicks ass) and cute (heehee ), and you can't go wrong!

Plus, Sesshoumaru doesn't even have two arms. ::is hit by a dozen flying objects thrown by angry Sess fans:: Er--just kidding... actually, I agree that all of the characters really are pretty cool.

Patrioil, I can understand your disliking Sango. She is a bit lacking in personality development compared to the other characters, and I used to feel the same way about her, though I've warmed up to her more recently. (I actually think both she and Miroku, cute as they are together, are much more interesting characters when they're not around each other--when they are, they fall into the same-old-same-old pattern of talk-grope-smack with hiraikotsu-etc. It gets old.)

But Kohaku? How can you dislike Kohaku? He's like an eleven-year-old whiz kid when it comes to skill! He's amazing as a fighter considering his age, and I've always found his plight really interesting--having to face off against his sister and the others simply because he doesn't remember anything and doesn't want to. I really sympathize with the kid. Not to mention he has one of the coolest weapons in Inuyasha, hands-down.

I've got my fingers crossed that Rin convinces Sesshoumaru to restore him to life with the Tenseiga at the end of the series. Or even better, a little before the end of the series, so that he can join up with the Yasha gang and maybe even help them out by giving them the benefit of whatever knowledge he gained about Naraku and his plans while under his control. ...Too bad it'll never happen.

As I don't find Sango interesting, I don't find Kohaku interesting.
I've actually never liked his and her type of character, ever.
But got to agree on that his weapon is pretty cool.... hehe....

I know I'm as unoriginal as can be, and as much as I like Miroku, Inuyasha, and Sesshoumaru, I still like Kagome the best. Right along with Kikyou. I like them the same. I love the conflict between them, and I've always been interested in reincarnation, so it's fun to muse on how much of Kagome is Kikyou and vice versa.

I like Miroku the best, but if I'm going STRICTLY by the coolness factor... gotta go with Sesshomaru. There's something cool about people who have supreme confidence in themselves and have the power to back it up... and he acts as if he doesn't need anybody else, too... not exactly a likable character, but definitely a cool character...

What gets me is why was Miruko put on the list and not Sango. Sango definitely brings more to the party. Miruko hasn’t been pulling his weight lately; he’s too worried about sucking up a few poison bees to use his air void, which is his only useful weapon. Sango has a giant boomerang that keeps on killing even when Nuraku is near by. She also has a giant flying two tailed cat. Kiara has saved every ones ass at least a few times. Hell with out Kiara Kogame would be dead by now along with half the plot. Sango also has incredible control over irrational emotions (love and jealousy); she hasn’t killed Miruko yet and she was going to kill her own brother before IY stopped her. IY can’t even get over Kikyo who’s really not his Kikyo but some hate filled demi-soul seeking revenge. Sure Sango is only a human but she’s a hell of a lot tougher mentally than any other party member. She also has a giant flying cant.

I agree that Sango ought to be up there. And Kirara does pull more than her share of the weight as well--literally, since she's the one who carries everybody. Without Kirara (and Hachi! Everyone overlooks Hachi!), everyone would take forever walking places. Things would be a lot more boring.

That said... don't go dissing Miroku for it, he does his job! (And we'll see him using the kazaana again soon enough.) Also, you mispelled his name (and Naraku and Kirara's names)... but that's just me being nitpicky. Sorry.

Oh yes! Why ain't anyone ever mentioning Hachi?
