This OST is fantastic! Thanks to all of those that made it possible. Did anyone else have a rather slow download? I maxed out at 25k a sec and normally it maxes out around 90k a sec. I'm not complaining though, I got it and I'm a happy girl.

Gotta say though- there's two songs on this one I'm kinda..*wavers hand* The Okino songs. Just like skywriting on the previous they feel more than a bit outta place.

I gotta say I absolutely love Over the Sky - Angel Feather Version! It's just so beautiful and calming. I just want to go into a trance and listen to it over and over again. Actually, when I was working this summer, I had OST 1 in my car and I listened to Over the Sky all the time...just about every morning so I had something relaxing before I spent the rest of the day listening to the local rock station in town. So this is definitely my favorite track from the 2nd OST.

i am so happy i found last exile on the net. this show has made every dreary week better. i totally look forward to each episode. and i keep my bittorents open all the time (as much as i possibly can anyway) to help out the le scene. thanks for the ost, its great! i almost wanna cry this show is that good!

I absolutely love this OST and i know i've said that already but i'm absolutely hooked to "a new world has come" and "fleet of battleships" that violin is absolutely catchy... anyone else catch themselves just wanting to riverdance to that damn violin?!?! j/k

but anyway on a side note is it just me or is there a similar melody to "lost friend" on this OST and "fake wing" on the .hack//sign OST1?!?! i'm not saying their the same but the first few bars are shockingly similar to my ears... i can almost sing the words to hack on lost friend...

I had noticed that too actually. I'm a long standing fan of .hack's music (I can sing nearly all of it's songs, including the ones in japanese, off the top of my head) so that sudden similarity in songs completely floored me. the opening bars sound almost exactly like Fake Wings. (try the first few words: "Shine, bright morning light..." -they do fit almost exactly. )

Who composed the LE music anyway? After hearing that one, I'd not be surprised if it WAS Yuki Kajiura.

Speaking of music from LE that reminds me of another show, Track #7 from the LE OST#1 reminds me alot of some of the BGM from Kimagure Orange Road

This may sound like a stupid question, but, I am still a little uncertain as to exactly who the art is of on the cover of OST 2-- is it a younger version of Alex, or is it a little more mature Claus?

It looks like Claus, but then the expression on the guy's face looks very Alex like, albeit a more youthful version.

Opinions? What do other people think... does it strike you as instantly - Alex or Claus?

I think its Klaus, personally.

The only credits I can discern for both OSTs (besides the featured singers) is the person/group Dolce Triade. Maybe Yuki Kajiura is one third of the "Quiet Trio".

The similarity to the .hack song (Fake Wings) also surprised me. It's nearly note for note, and then the melody wanders off somewhere else. "Shine bright morning light...hey, wait a second!"

The face looks like Alex's, but the hair seems to belong to Claus.
Maybe Alex is wearing a wig.
