Full Version: Sengoku O-togi Zoushi, Sesshoumaru!

Mucho thanks to Expertgamer 01 for giving us this bit of weirdness.

[link removed at school's request]

Translation forthcoming. I'll have to listen to it a couple more times, unless someone else wants to give it a shot. Basically, Sesshoumaru's group does a parody of the "Grip!" opening, and then there is much lamentation that Sesshoumaru didn't get to do anything in Movie 2. He kills the producers, there's some arguing over who the show should be named after, and to appease the mighty Fluffy one, Kagome gives him a pamphlet for the third movie. After much "WTF?!" on Sess's part, all is left in good graces (i.e. no one else is dead). And then it ends with "Sesshoumaru no Tsubo!", in which we're clued in to someone named "Setsuna no Takemaru", whom I'm assuming is an original character for the third movie.

Anyway, anyway, download it. Laugh your ass off. Give Expertgamer 01 thanks.

Okay, Expertgamer 01 just sent me the fifth track, which is basically just the voice actors talking to each other about the second movie. Unfortunately, they were talking waaay too fast for me to catch much of what they were saying (that and they didn't usually speak in complete sentences, and talked over one another a lot). But, here it is for you to listen to as well:

Ok, I have now used the "Spoof" Intro with "Grip!" to make a NEW Introduction, with Video! Its Sesshoumaru's Introduction Music Video!
If someone would like to download it from me to host it somewhere, it is 16MB, and I am online all the time, so PM me, and I'll let you have it!

Whew! Took a couple hours, but I finally came up with a rough (and I mean rough) translation of the whole track. Don't expect AFF/FGF clarity and accuracy with this one, but at least it should give you the general idea of what everyone's saying.

The same thing would happen if I put it on a different website. Just right click on it and select "Save As".

Aw, and as much as I'd like a Scooby Snack, I'm not nearly fluent enough in Japanese to make much sense of the all-out vocal cacophony that is track 5 (and I'm assuming the other tracks as well). When they're acting, they tend to talk slower, make their words clearer, and talk about things I'm actually familiar with from the show. When it comes to everyone just chatting with each other... eh.... it's a mess. All I can pick out is that Kagome, Miroku, and Inuyasha's seiyuu are talking with Kaguya's seiyuu about the second movie. What exactly they're saying, I have no idea.

I actually sat down to translate it a litttle,
but yer right, it's easier to t/l acting...
But I could probably do this, I dunno.
I could try - but I can't promise anything.
Kappei is mentioning Takahashi at some point...
I would like to see exactly what he says. ^^

However, upon listening again, that's actually Jaken and RIN yelling "Sesshoumaru no tsubo!" rather than Jaken and Shippou, even though Shippou does the actual segment. ::fixes translation:: Ah well. In the future, maybe I'll do another version with Rin, but I think this one's pretty amusing, regardless.

*Dies laughing*

(I don't know how many times I've died laughing in the past week, but I imagine it's...a lot.)

That's really good...did you draw Jaken? The shading's kind of different...if it weren't for that, I wouldn't notice anything. I've seen some of your oekaki too, it's also spectacular...and...yeah. Just thought I'd say that.

Heh, thanks. Yeah, I drew the Jaken, since it was quicker and easier than hunting down an image of him that would fit in the picture. He's not all that hard to draw, anyway. Just a bunch of circles.

Actually, the hardest part of that picture was replacing "Inuyasha" with "Sesshoumaru" in the logo. Drawing with a mouse is one thing, but writing in Japanese with a mouse with an angled brush tool is another ^_^*.

As for oekaki drawings, this drama has given me gobs of new inspiration for goofy images, so I'll probably be tormenting Sesshoumaru's troupe for weeks to come. ^_^* That is... if school doesn't take away my drawing time.
Kouga-kun
Your caligraphy is amazing... What's even more amazing is that you did it in MS Paint or some program like it.

Sesshoumaru-sama no Tsubo, version 2.0! Now with more Rin!

Fixed some of the shading on Jaken to blend him into the picture better, too. Man, this drama has given me so much stupid fanart inspiration, I hope it doesn't keep me from my upcoming schoolwork ^_^*.

Heh heh. I'm assuming that's Yamaguchi Kappei in the middle?

"Chichi-ue.... Chichi-ue mo deru no ka?!"

He just sounds strangely... giddy... when he says that line. Does Fluffy have some sort of Oedipus complex with his dad or something?

When fanart just isn't enough:

I'm using the "Grip!" opening as a reference to have Sesshoumaru go through the same poses and stuff than Inuyasha does during his version of the opening. I've only got nine frames done at the moment, but I figured I might as well post my progress. The fact that Inu and Sess wear similar basic clothing makes it a little easier, so it ends up being mostly just a tracing job from the original, but all the excess crap (the fluffy, the ribbon, the armor) is really hard to match up frame-to-frame. ^_^*

Ok, that's just fantastic. I feel like such a noob because I have no idea how to make these gifs. I suppose I could learn if I dedicated the time to it, but alas...I have college to worry about. unsure.gif I really like the Fluffy Grip opening. You rule Patches. tongue.gif

XD Excellent work, Patches!

Well, this was the EASY part of the next sequence, which was just compositing all of the characters and getting the kanji nametags. When I get them animated into the title, I'll post that, too. o_O

Super, super, super!!!

When you get to the part where it shows the Shinintai group profiles and shots, you need to show Inuyasha group. biggrin.gif It won't be hard changing the Bankotsu/Inu fight to Sesh/Inu either, can even use the trailor to the 3rd movie.

I wish I had talent in art...

::snicker:: Where's the Nintoujou? ^_^*. Fluffy's group doesn't have enough characters to match up to the dialogue in the original, so Jaken's staff is apparently an honorary party member now.
"Rin ni Aun ni Jaken ni Nintoujou!"
"Taimu Surippu! Sengoku o-Togi Zoushi!"
"Sesshoumaru!"

My only issue with my little "project" is the pose at the end, where in the original, Inuyasha has Tetsusaiga slung over his shoulder and his left hand on his hip. Sess kind of doesn't have a left hand, and he'd impale his fluffy if he swung Toukijin over his shoulder. Deleting the left hand probably won't be too much of a problem, but I'll have to see when I get there whether I want to make up a pose at the end or just have Toukijin buried in the puff.
Kouga-kun
I have an idea! When Rin starts talking about the shikon shards and how they don't need em. We should have a picture of the nearly complete jewel with an X flashing.

Agh. My school's started cracking down on the distribution of "copyrighted" material on their servers, so I've had to delete everything with an audio or video file extension on my webspace, whether it really is copyrighted material or not. However, I'm not sure what their policy on zip files is, so if it turns out that those are okay, I'll put the omake back up as a zip. In the meantime, enough of you got it off me that it shouldn't be too difficult to find someone else to get it off of. I'll go back and edit the link out of the original post just to make sure there's no confusion.
mforman
If the worst comes to the worst, you could change the extension, eg. to .doc. As long as the people downloading it know to change the extension back, it should be Ok.

Just use the demon arm that Jaken has given him earlier in the episodes, before Naraku gives him the human arm. It's kinda old, but the unbalanced proportions would crack the heck out of me ... and others too.

Eh, I decided to play it straight and just delete the left arm (which of course forced me to completely make up the positions of his sleeve in the final few frames myself. Oh well). Although... I did neglect to give him Tenseiga. Oops. Eh, I didn't feel like keeping track of it through all 23 frames this thing ended up being. Toukijin was hard enough, considering it's a completely different shape than Tetsusaiga (hell, the pants and the right sleeve were pretty much the only pure tracing jobs on this thing).

I think I'm gonna go off and do homework now. Because I do not, in fact, have too much free time. I just pretend I do. :P
